Williamsburg Suites Unsafe: Code Violations Force Occupants Out

York County officials deemed the Williamsburg Suites hotel unsafe for occupancy due to repeated building code violations and deteriorating conditions. The hotel on Bypass Road was ordered to vacate by May 19, later extended by one day. The county provided information on social services for occupants, some of whom were living there long-term in violation of zoning. The hotel’s attorney claims they are in negotiations and permitted to operate. York County stated it would monitor the situation and the property owner must enforce the vacate order.
