Louis Leonard “Lou” Vannostrand, 63, a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads, passed away April 23, 2025, in Norfolk, Virginia. He is survived by his brother Calvin Roy Vannostrand, Jr. and Brother-in-law Brooks. The family hopes to bury him at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia, and requests memorial donations in lieu of flowers.

Richard “Rick” Westbrook, 56, of Virginia Beach, passed away on April 23, 2025, after facing ALS with courage; known for 29 years at Bayville, a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Altmeyer Funeral Home Southside Chapel.

Theresa Ann Wood, 63, of Virginia Beach, died April 22, 2025, in Virginia Beach.

Robert Spratley, 62, of Norfolk, passed away on April 23, 2024, in Norfolk, Virginia.

Richard “Rick” Westbrook, 56, of Virginia Beach, a longtime figure at Bayville, died April 23, 2025, after facing ALS. A celebration of his life is scheduled for Sunday, May 4, at Altmeyer Funeral Home – Southside Chapel.

Zenaida Trinidad Macaraeg, 76, of Newport News passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025. Born December 18, 1948, in the Philippines, she retired from Canon after 30 years and was a devoted parishioner of St. Jerome Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Fred Macaraeg, children Alfred and April Macaraeg, grandchildren, and a brother. A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, 12893 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News. Funeral services will be held at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 116 Denbigh Boulevard, Newport News, on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM.

Paul L. Allison, 73, of Portsmouth, Virginia, passed away on April 26, 2025.

Ann S. Porter, 84, of Williamsburg, passed away in her home on April 24, 2025. She was born August 11, 1940, in Richlands, VA. Ann is survived by her husband, William C. Porter, their children, Kathryn A. Rhodes and Claiborne W. Porter, grandchildren, and a brother. She was a music teacher who taught internationally and locally, directing choirs and musicals. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Bruton Parish Church in Williamsburg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bruton Parish Church or the Sentara Foundation.

August David Barglof, 3, of Williamsburg, passed away on April 24, 2025. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 3:00 pm at 19305 Horse Shoe Road in Charles City, Virginia. The family requests donations to The Guardian Retreat in lieu of flowers.
