  • Grimm, 15, sets state 15-19 5K record 14:45 at Run DOG 5K

    Jamestown High freshman Jonathan Grimm, 15, won the Run the DOG Street Challenge 5K on April 19 in Williamsburg with a time of 14:45, setting state and Colonial Road Runners age group records for 15-19 year olds. Daniel Ferrante finished second in 14:59, and Adam Otstot was third in 15:43. Bethany Spector won the women’s race in 17:34, followed by Emma Rogers (17:41) and Emily Honeycutt (18:48). David Angell had the fastest men’s Masters time of 16:03, breaking the race 45-49 record. Age group records were also broken by Stephen Chantry (men’s 70-74), Kenneth Mitchell (men’s 80-84), and Connie Glueck (women’s 60-64). The 16th annual race was held on a course through downtown and Colonial Williamsburg with 929 finishers in the 5K run. Grimm donated his prize money to the race charity, Habitat for Humanity.
