Hampton Roads osprey nests fail; 25 of 42 gone, causes unknown

Researchers from the Virginia Aquarium and the Center for Conservation Biology at William & Mary are documenting a significant increase in osprey nest failures and a sharp decline in the bird population across Hampton Roads, with potential causes being investigated including competition from bald eagles and a lack of available food sources like menhaden.
