CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH HONORED WITH PINWHEELS
April is recognized as Child Abuse and Child Neglect Prevention Month.
The Pinwheels for Prevention initiative places colorful pinwheels across James City County.
Pinwheels are a widely recognized symbol of child abuse prevention.
Groups including the James City County Police Department place the pinwheels.
The pinwheels represent bright futures for children.
They highlight the community’s role in child well-being and prevention.
The pinwheels will be removed at the end of April.
